Dear Sir,
With reference to the advertisement in the newspapers and web sites for the post of Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, please furnish me the following information:
- The basis for deciding the qualifications and experience for the post.
- The minimum and maximum age limit for the post.
- If the age limit has not been prescribed the reasons for not prescribing.
- The applicants have been asked to send 500 words write up on “A Road Map for Energy Efficiency and Conservation in India over the next 5 years. Whether any marks will be allocated for this write up and how it will be evaluated. What process was adopted in the last 3 Interviews for the post of DG, BEE.
- In the Part-1 of the application format, age as on 01.11.2011 has been asked. The reasons for asking the age on that day and the basis on which this cut-off date has been fixed.
- As per records available kindly inform the date of birth of Dr Ajay Mathur, the present Director General. Is he eligible to apply?

Q2 & Q5 is pretty much repetitive. Let them provide, as per their records the min/max age for this post.
Q4 : Let us get the exact process of evaluation in the previous years. That should explain you the details for the write-up.

Thanks Sharma ji for the suggestions.Actually the background is that during 2004,2006 and 2008 when the applications were invited the age limit was prescribed.But this time it is not perhaps to accommodate some one or to facilitate continuance of …..That is the reason to ask specifically on what basis and why the cut off date has been fixed.

Thank you very much.Thanks to the volunteer also.We had also separately filed the application but MOP has not yet replied but they sent the acknowledgment.There is a mistake in this application. The years when the interviews were conducted earlier are 2004,2006 and 2008 and not 2009,2010,2011.
