Tax breaks to KKR, and cost of its felicitation
1) The total amount of taxes paid to the Government of West Bengal by IPL franchisee ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ from 2008-2012 with their breakups.
2) The details of other charges paid to the Government of West Bengal and its departments by Kolkata Knight Riders for their usage of services of state government utilities (like police, electricity, etc) from 2008-2012. Please mention the specific rates charged (like per unit rate of electricity, cost of security per day, etc) with the details.
3) The tax concessions (if any) given to Kolkata Knight Riders by the Government of West Bengal from 2008-2012 with all the details of such concessions.
4) The total cost incurred by the Government of West Bengal in felicitating Kolkata Knight Riders (including the cost of all prizes, like gold chains, etc, given to players) after their IPL win in 2012 along with the all breakups.
I’m not fully sure about the department and the PIO.
I request you mention Section 6(3) of the RTI Act, 2005, else the PIO might just dispose it saying that all these info isn’t related to his department.
This involves too many powerful people, and I feel this might result in some victimisation of the applicant if it’s filed from WB. In case you think this application will result in undue trouble, feel free to dispose this.
I dont think it will result in any kind of victimization as it is normal information which doesnot expose any threat or risk
