Subject: Application under RTI Act 2005, to seek information regarding the
promotions happening in erstwhile Air India

Sir,

Kindly make available following information / documents under RTI Act 2005 regarding the promotions in Air India ltd (erstwhile Air India).

1. How many Dy. Managers – Technical (Grade-28), of Operation Department were due for time bound promotion to, Manager – Technical (Grade-30), from 01.04.2011 onwards till date (14.11.2011)? Please provide of details (i.e.
name, staff no. & department) of such officers.
2. When was the Written Test & Interview conducted for the promotion exercise for Dy. Manager – Technical (Grade-28), in operations department?
3. Was any promotion letter, issued to any Dy. Managers – Technical (Grade-28), promoting them to Manager – Technical (Grade-30) (of Operation Department), by the Executive Director – Operations.
4. If such letters were issued, as in above, are the promotions implemented?If not, then why? Kindly provide documents in support of promotions implemented / not implemented, as the case may be.
5. Were the promotions as mentioned above were approved by the CMD, if yes, then kindly provide the document in support.
6. How many promotion/s is / are, approved and implemented after 01.04.2011till date (14.11.2011). Please provide documents in support.
7. Have the Ministry of Civil Aviation given instructions to stop the implementing of the above mentioned promotions?
