Sir,

I would like to file RTI anonymously for the revealing of the holded cases of On-request transfer cases in South Eastern Railways.The Railway Board has a provision of transferring the staffs of Railway to their interested regions whether interdivisional or intradivisional depending on the strength of  staffs available at that particular division.A staff of Railways can opt for On-request after successful completion of 1 year service.Nevertheless the strength of staffs available in Kharagpur division of SER is handsome.

I had put an On-request transfer from Kharagpur Division to Adra Division of SER 5 years back but haven’t got any response neither they provided me a concrete reason for delay.I am a Assistant Station Master at Kharagpur division.The case remains the same for many other staffs of different verticals of the organisation but the question remains unanswered.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    Please provide me the following information pertaining to the number of On-request transfers of Railway staff in the South Eastern Railways:
    1) Please provide me the total number of applications pending as on the date of reply.
    2) Also provide the total number of application cleared in the on-going year till date of reply.
    3) The name and designation of Officers responsible for clearing of these applications.
    4) Copy of any rule/regulation/formulated plan regarding the basis on which these on-request transfers will be given to applicants.
    5) Any time duration before which an applicant’s application must be processed.
