RTI regarding distribution of INSPIRE Scholarships in IIT Bombay.

Sub: Application under the Right to Information Act (RTIA), 2005
Provide the following details relating to the distribution of INSPIRE (Innovation for Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Scholarships in IIT Bombay.
1) What is the total number of MSc/Ph.D students studying in IIT Bombay?
2) How many MSc/Ph.D students have completed their course from IIT Bombay?
3) What are the eligibility requirements for a MSc/Ph.D student to receive Inspire Scholarship in IIT Bombay? Provide an attested copy of all related governing orders/directions and laws.
4) How many of current MSc/Ph.D students are eligible to receive Inspire Scholarship in IIT Bombay?
5) What are the IIT Bombay’s guidelines to distribute Inspire Scholarships to the eligible MSc/Ph.D students? Provide an attested copy of all related governing orders/directions and laws.
6) Has the department made any arrangement/system for fair and just distribution of scholarships to the deserving students? Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
7) What relaxation has been given to SC/ST and OBC students in the distribution of INSPIRE Scholarships. If not how many students are not receiving the scholarship in respective categories. Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
8) To how many students IIT Bombay has distributed full amount of Inspire Scholarship i.e., Rs. 80,000/- ?
9) What is the total amount of Inspire Scholarship money which IIT Bombay did not distributed to eligible students?
10) What do IIT Bombay do with undistributed Inspire Scholarship money? Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
11) What is the total amount of undistributed Inspire Scholarship money spend by IIT Bombay?
12) Please attach the certified xerox copies of bills for which if the undistributed Inspire Scholarship money was used?
13) If any student has not been given the scholarship during the year 2011-2012, then specify the reason for the same. Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
14) Specify the names and designation of the officers responsible for distribution of Inspire-Fellowships. Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
15) In case of corruption in distribution of fellowship what action can be taken against such officers according to departmental rules and regulations? Provide an attested copy of the related documents.
Also as per the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 please provide the details (Name and Designation) of the first appellate authority with respect to your department with the reply to the above request, where I may if required file my first appeal.
1- Inspire Scholarship(SHE) is only for Undergraduates or Integrated course in Basic Sciences only, for PhD students their is a different program by Inspire division.
2- Only those who have got Inspire Scholarship during their B.Sc. may apply for Inspire Scholarship in M.Sc.
3-According to rule only 60000 will be directly given to the Inspire Scholar, rest 20000 per year for Summer Research Project .
4-You have to score 60+ % or CGPA 6+ for getting scholarship next year.
5- for getting Inspire in M.Sc. you have to score atleast 60 % in your B.Sc.
6- Every Institute has a different Inspire account, If some students doesn’t utilise their mentor-ship cost(1 lack for 5 year ). It will remain in Institute Inspire account and next year Institute will utilise that money for giving inspire scholarship to future upcoming batches students.
