Sub: GATE 2010 stipend for the M.Tech students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University

Sir,

I am representing MTech students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore.
We are admitted to the college with a valid GATE score. The students with a valid GATE score are eligible for a stipend from MHRD (Ministry of Human Resourse Department) during their academic period(MTech). Even after completing our one year academics, we have not got any amount from MHRD till now. College authorities tell that they have done every thing from their side. We would like to get clarification regarding the same.

    What is the meaning of college authorities having done everything from their side? under RTI, you can ask copies of correspondence between the college authorities and the MHRD which shows that they have taken efforts to get the stipend for you. Do that immediately. We will soon be uploading the sample RTI application form – please fill in the details and I shall correct your draft. Also you should file a RTI with MHRD the status of the stipends (name all the candidates) of your university.

    Sub: MHRD Stipend (as Teaching Assistanceship) for GATE 2010 qualified M.Tech Students – Seeking information under RTI Act, 2005 – Reg.

    I would like to know the following things:

    1. GATE 2010 qualified Students admitted for M.Tech programme in the year 2010 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Amritanagar P.O, PIN:641112, Coimbatore, TamilNadu have yet not been given the MHRD Stipend (Teaching Assistanceship). They have not received even a single installment. Kindly provide the status of this issue and why the amount has yet not been issued to them, though students of the same programme admitted in other colleges have been issued the stipend.
