Expense reports of Members of Parliament

Hi,

Is it possible to retrieve the expense reports of the members of parliament (central or any state). If so, how would I go about doing it.

My plan is to retrieve the expense reports for a particular timeframe, say 2010 or 2009, pertaining to the members of parliament in any state or centre. As a tax payer of this country, I think, it is our right to know about every expense that have been filed and for which we, as tax payers, have funded.

Once we retrieve all the individual expense reports, which I imagine will be a huge number, we can use community’s help to sort them. Am thinking of having a website that will facilitate whoever is interested in digging through the documents of MP’s expenses to identify individual claims or documents that they think merits further investigation.

Your help is much appreciated,

Surely, there will be a PIO for every state assembly. Not sure how to get its details.

Cheers,

Your focus seems to be vague. MPs are entitled to various expenses. Please study their salaries, allowances etc through the website http://www.parliamentofindia.nic.in. Thereafter, you would be equipped to seek precise information. Yes, you can ask under RTI – the website also has the names of the Public Information Officers but just asking for expenses is vague.
