Hi,

To,

Dept. Of posts

I want full details for a postal assistant in a post office, who has not yet completed 3 years of service to resign from the Job and get posted in another central govt Job.

1. Should I pay back any training charges?

2. When should i get the NOC letter from Dept. of posts ie when i apply for other central govt job ? or when i pass the exam of other govt Jobs ?

3. Are there any chances of rejection of my resignation letter?

Hi, What I can make out from ur letter whether u can resign from ur present job of postal Asst. and join any other Central Govt job. If u get a Central Govt/State Govt/any public sector job while serving as postal Asst,u can resign from the present job after giving one month's notice. Even this one month's notice period can be waived with sufficient grounds from ur present Employer. If u had applied for the new post through ur present employer or after getting a NOC, u can count the service rendered in Postal Dept as postal Asst can be counted for pension in the new job.

    Hi,

Here, I am being told that i have to pay around 12000-20000 for resigning , so i want to know if its a bribe or my recovery of training charges , so its better if i get a reply from RTI branch of Dept of Posts.

Hi Mr.Manjunath,Now I see from ur communication that u have been given some training before u joined the service. If this is so, there will be an indication in your contract of appointment that u have to serve for a minimum period of service before resigning, failing which u r required to refund the cost of training. If such a clause is not there in ur contract of appointment, there is no need to refund the training charges. So this u have to make sure from ur appointment order. Normally, in Central Govt departments, only training given abroad is included for recovery of the cost of training. To my knowledge there is no such a condition in Postal Dept.
