Get Up for Change

Get Up for Change is a non-profit organization working for greater transparency and accountability and reduced corruption in Indian Governance. Currently, our most successful service is RTI Anonymous. In association with Kshitij, IIT Kharagpur and India Against Corruption - IIT Kharagpur Chapter, we bring you 'Get Up for Change', an event to make the best minds of the country brainstorm about solutions for greater transparency and accountability and better governance. The competition would be judged by a member of the Team Anna Core Group.

Problem Statement

Suggest a product or a service which would help increase transparency and accountability, improve governance or reduce corruption.

Eligibility

Anybody can participate. There are no restrictions.

Structure of the Competition

Stage 1: Submit a summarized description of your product or service to rtia-india@getup4change.org by 31st December 2011 midnight.
Stage 2: 20 submissions will be selected and asked to submit a detailed description of their product or service by 10th January 2012 midnight.
Stage 3: 10 submissions will be selected and will be mentored by a prominent social activist. These teams will have to come and give a presentation about their product or service during Kshitij 2012 at IIT Kharagpur (from 27th to 30th January 2012 - exact date will be communicated later) in which 3 winners will be selected. The winning ideas will be considered for implementation by India Against Corruption and Get Up for Change.

Rules

  • A person can be a part of any number of teams.
  • A team should be of 1 to 5 individuals.
  • A team can submit any number of entries.

Workshop

A workshop on Using Right to Information: Citizens' Power Unleashed will be held during Kshitij 2012 at IIT Kharagpur (from 27th to 30th January 2012 - exact date will be communicated later).
