Information from IT dept and PF dept
HI,
Cranes software (I) ltd, with its registered office at#29, 7th Cross, 14th Main, Vasanthnagar, Bangalore had not remitted the PF and TDS amount deducted from employees salary to PF office and Income tax department since April 2009.Form 16 for the year 2009-10 is not issued so far. As per my understanding this is a criminal offense! I want to know what action have the PF department and the Income tax department have taken against Cranes Software (I) Ltd.When we tried to withdraw the amount in our PF accounts, we were told that the company has defaulted and hence the amount cannot be with drawn.
There are pending salaries of over hundred employees as well. As its an IT company we are not covered by the labour laws. We have tried talking to the heads and higher up’s of the company (asif khader, mueed khadir, Shoba murli, Akhila Lean and HR Jerome Christopher) and so far there has been no concrete answer from any one of these!
We want to know what are the respective government departments are doing about this??

Hi, Instead of filing an RTI application, the employees' forum like union/Association,or even an individual employee can approach the EPF Commissioner/Asst.Commissioner giving them the address of the employer, number of employees employed by them and telling them that the EPF amounts recovered from the employees are not being deposited with the PF Office. If any Trade union is there in the office, they can also demand the action from the Management. Regarding Income Tax recovery,the person from whose salary the IT is recovered, can demand from the employer the TDS which the employer is duty bound to give. If he doesn't give, the person can complain to IT Office, as he is not able to file his annual IT return with the IT office without the TDS
Hi,we had formed a group, met PF and IT officials, nothing has worked out. news is that the company people have bribed the PF and IT people! when we go to cranes office in vasantnagar, the concerned person doesn’t even want to meet us. the security has been instructed not to entertain any former employees. with this being the situation, i don’t see any other way to move the govt machinery than submitting the RTI
