Noise pollution from a saw mill at J P Nagar 6th Phase – plot next to Adarsh Nivas Apartments on Kanakapura Road

Greetings. It is heartening to see that there is help around in this form. We have been sufferring ever since we purchase an apartment in Adarsh Nivas in 1999. There is a saw mill next to this and all these years were have had not respite. Information passed on to the association within also has no result.
It is noisy and impossible and I am not even sure if the said contractors know the rules of engagement in a residential locality.
Kindly advise the next steps that I need to take.

You have three options:
a) File FIR under CPC for public nuisance.
b) Complain to the State Pollution control Board.
c) File an RTI with state pollution control board asking for the permissible noise limit for the factory as per its permit to operate and a copy of the last inspection report of the SPCB.
