Accommodation discrepencies at IIT Bombay

Hi,

I am a student of IIT Bombay. I do not want my academics affected by this RTI and hence the anonymous RTI.

At IIT Bombay, the intake of students has drastically increased without caring enough for the infrastructure. There is acute shortage of accommodation facilities specifically for girls.  Based on my observations and common complaints I hear I would like vthe following information to be made public.

Percentage of increase in the number of girl students (both PG and UG) at IIT Bombay in the last 5 years ?

Percentage of increase in the number of girl students (both PG and UG) at IIT Bombay in the last 5 years ?

Percentage of increase in the number of rooms for boys (PG + UG) at IIT Bombay in the last 5 years ?

Percentage of increase in the number of rooms for girls (PG + UG) at IIT Bombay in the last 5 years ?

Fraction of Ph.D , M.Tech, Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) and B.Tech girls in IIT Bombay in H10 and H11 ?  Is the old Hostel 11 meant for PG girls and the new Hostel 10 meant for UG girls.?

Answers to the above may bring clarity to how mismanaged IIT Bombay is .

    Therefore I suggest you change the query as follows:

    1) Please inform me the total Number of GIRLS ( UG & PG ) stayed in Hostel during 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. Information can be provided in the form that is held by PA.

    2) Please inform me the total Number of BOYS (UG & PG )Stayed in Hostel during 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. Information can be provided in the form that is held by PA.

    3) Please inform me of the total number of GIRLS (UG & PG ) Rooms during 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

    4) Please inform me of the total number of BOYS (UG & PG ) Rooms during 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

    5) Types of Boys Rooms
    5.1) Dimension in sqft
    5.2) Capacity of each type of room ( no of person(s) allowable to stay)

    6) Types of Girls Rooms
    6.1) Dimension in sqft
    6.2) Capacity of each type of room ( no of person(s) allowable to stay)
