Doubling of railway tracks between Jiaganj and Plassey stations at Sealdah and Lalgola section of Eastern Railway

The honorable railway minister,in a very appreciable move, in the railway budget 2011, announced outlay for

the project of doubling of railway tracks between Sealdah and Lalgola,in 3 phases i.e. between

Krishnanagar and Plassey in the first phase, between Lalgola and Jiaganj in the second phase and between

Jiaganj and Plassey third phase .The honorable railway minister,in a very appreciable move, in the railway budget 2011, announced outlay for

the project of doubling of railway tracks between Sealdah and Lalgola,in 3 phases i.e. between

Krishnanagar and Plassey in the first phase, between Lalgola and Jiaganj in the second phase and between

Jiaganj and Plassey third phase .While the work is going on appreciably for first and second phases the

work for the third phase is not moving at satisfactory speed .But this segment caters to a large number of

Commuters of ‘Behrampore’ ‘Lalgola’ sector. So information is sought from your good office, regarding the

works undertaken in Connection with execution of the project in its third phase,ie. Between Jiaganj and

Plassey and the tentative date within which the project will be completed and certified copies of

departmental instructions and noting’s given in this regard

    While sending a RTI Application, Its not a good practice to address the PIO by his name. You may not know if he is still the PIO in that office..

    Its better to simply address it to CPIO / SPIO
