CAN YOU PLEASE FILE THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION UNDER RTI ACT 2005, 

AFTER MAKING NECESSARY CHANGES, IF REQUIRED.

Royapettah, Chennai  600014.

PARTICULARS OF INFORMATION REQUIRED
In compliance to Sub-Section 8 (1) (j) of The Right To Information Act 2005, which provides that the information which cannot be denied to the Parliament or a State Legislature shall not be denied to any person, please provide me the following information as soon as possible & within the time frame as stipulated under the RTI Act, 2005.01.     Whether Indian Bank, the Public Authority, has paid Salary for the month of June 2011 in June 2011 to any of its Ex-officers voluntarily resigned and relieved from the services of the Bank in May 2011 ?

 02.     If the information pertaining to Sl. No. 01 mentioned above is ‘YES,’ Name and Designation of the respective Ex-Officers voluntarily resigned and relieved from the services of the Bank in May 2011 to whom Salary for the month of June 2011 was paid in June 2011 and details of June 2011 Salary paid to them.

 03.     If the information pertaining to Sl. No. 01 mentioned above is ‘YES,’ whether Salary paid for the month of June 2011 in June 2011 has been recovered subsequently from the respective Ex-Officers voluntarily resigned and relieved from the services of the Bank in May 2011, and date of recovery ?

I am enclosing a Demand Draft No.           dated         for Rs.10/- favouring Public Information Officer, Indian Bank, payable at Chennai, being the prescribed fee and undertake to pay any additional fees / charges, if applicable, as prescribed under the RTI Act, 2005.

      Have you filed this RTI .. if So, please provide the Speed Post number .. Else this would not be considered as filed and we will have to ask somebody else to file it ..

    THANKS FOR TAKING THE EFFORTS TO OBTAIN THE INFORMATION.

    SHOCKING INFORMATION HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM INDIAN BANK, UNDER RTI ACT.

    INDIAN BANK HAS PAID JUNE 2011 SALARY IN JUNE 2011 TO AN OFFICER RESIGNED VOLUNTARILY AND RELIEVED FROM THE SERVICES OF THE BANK
    IN MAY 2011. THIS SALARY WAS RECOVERED ONLY ON 21.02.2012.

    WHAT TYPE OF SYSTEM AND PROCEDURE THE BANK IS ADOPTING BEFORE ACCEPTING AN EMPLOYEE’S RESIGNATION AND RELIEVING?

    I HAVE ALSO HEARD ANOTHER SHOCKING INFORMATION THAT SALARY FROM JANUARY 2011 TO JUNE 2011 PAID TO THE ABOVE OFFICER WAS FOUND INELIGIBLE AND THE SAME WAS RECOVERED FROM THE OFFICER ONLY ON 21.02.2012, THAT TOO FROM THE TERMINAL BENEFITS PAID TO HIM.
    CAN THIS BE OBTAINED OFFICIALLY.

    IT IS SURPRISING TO NOTE THAT HOW THE INELIGIBLE SALARY PAID FROM JAN 2011 TO
    MAY 2011 WAS NOT NOTICED WHEN THE OFFICER’S
    RESIGNATION WAS ACCEPTED AND RELIEVED DURING MAY 2011.
