Deputy Director(Media) in M/o Rural Development
The following information may please be furnished under RTI Act-2005:-
(i) The posts of Deputy Director(Media) in M/o Rural Development is a deputation posts, it is requested, to please provide the name of present incumbent to the post and the period for which he was appointed may please be indicated;
(ii) A certified of copy of Recruitment Rules for the post of Deputy Director(Media) may please be provided;
(iii) In case the period of deputation of the present incumbents has been extended beyond normal period, the details and certified copies of the approval and noting portion may please be provided.
(iv) In case the deputation period is not extended, please provide the exact reasons, under what policy, is the present incumbent drawing Pay & Allowances beyond the period of his authorized extension of deputation as existing rules and procedure.
(v) The names of officers/officials who are responsible for unauthorized retention of the present incumbent of Dy. Director (Media) in The Ministry of Rural Development.
(vi) What action is proposed to be taken against the above delinquents in accordance with DOP&T’s OM No 11013/2/2004-Estt (A) dated 16th Feb, 2004, AB.14017/30/2006-Estt(RR) dated 29.11.2006 and No.6/8/2009-Estt(Pay-II) dated 01.03.2011(copies enclosed).

We had sent this RTI Application along with Rs. 20 postal order for fee and other expenses.
However the PIO has returned our application citing the reason that Rs. 10 postal order should have been given as fee rather than Rs. 20.
This is a clear attempt to harass the information seeker as information cannot be refused upon payment of extra fee.
