Delay of passport

Hi,

 

I have applied for passport in the Month of Nov-2011 from kolkata . All the reports are clear but still today i haven’t recived my passport. I called their office but not getting proper response from their side.

 

I need your help to get the information about delay .

 

When i check the website this status is showing:

 

File Reference Number : CAL-W524567-11

STATUS :
It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week’s time

    Dear Sir,
    I would advise you to file an RTI application to the passport office . This application need to be filed by yourself only and cannot be anonymous for obvious reasons

    The rough draft of the application would look like this

    To,
    The Public Information Officer

    Sub : Information required as per the RTI Act 2005, regarding my progress of passport application

    DATE OF APPLICATION – DD/MM/YYYY
    NAME OF APPLICANT – XXXXXXX
    FILE NO. – XXXXX
    DATE OF BIRTH – DD/MM/YYYY

    Please Provide me the following information with respect to my passport application (details mentioned above)
    Q 1 : The Current status of the Passport Application

    Q 2: The exact date, by which I should recieve my passport.
