CLAT COMMITTEE GUIDLINES FLOUTED BY NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY-JODHPUR for Entrance Test

Dear Sir,
Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) was held Yesterday(13th May,2012) for admission into National Law Universities. The CLAT committee set guidlines for the pattern of the test/exam which was set to be set By National Law University of Jodhpur.

the guildines are short and are available here www.clat.ac.in/pattern.aspx

on scrolling down you will see different subject areas of the exam explained.

1) Point 2 which talks abt General knowledge/current affairs clearly states that candidates will ONLY be tested on Current affairs(broadly defined as matters featuring in the mainstream media between March2011 to March 2012)
This guildines was clearly flouted as the paper tested STATIC GK. Questions like-who said man is a social animal/the s shaped ocean in the world ALL come under STATIC GK and not CURRENT AFFAIRS BETWEEN MARCH 2011 TO MARCH 2012.

2) Point 5throws light on Legal Aptitude. the second paragrapgh cleary states that CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE TESTED ON ANY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF LAW OR LEGAL CONCEPTS. This guildine was also ignored by the University as they asked questions pertaining to rule of law and constitution. that too, not only in the Legal Aptitude section but also Logical Reasoning.

I want to know on what grounds has the University taken the decision to ignore guidlines prescribed by the CLAT committee. I want the university to please let me know what is the real syllabus that one must follow . Clearly, they are not the ones prescribed by CLAT. I am not the only one facing this problem. This flouting has left 26000 others who gave Clat in mayhem. The result will be out on the 28th, please draft the letter asoon as possible. Thank you.
