Documentation Records of the Reserve Collection Units in National Museum of Natural History

How many dry wildlife specimens does the Museum/s have? How many wet specimen does it have?

How these specimens were acquired? Has the Museum got any acquisition record of the specimen since its inception? Please provide the source of collection with proper acquisition of dry and wet specimen.

How many wet specimen does the museum have in NMNH. Have they been properly maintained? if yes please provide the status of such specimen and places where they are used in the Museum.

Does the museum undertake any research on the wildlife material it acquires? Is there any trained scientific officer associated with the handling of the collection. If not then who looks after the collection and maintains it.

Does the Museum have any laboratory for curing and maintaining the skins and stuffed animals. If no then how many laboratory officials are there with the museum to maintain the collection?

Does the museum have any botanical collections also? if yes then please provide the details of such collections?

    Yes, it does. It is a matter of mismanagement of wildlife articles and you know how strong is the mafia. Disclosing the name may invite trouble for the RTI initiator.
