This has reference to the grievances (Ref No. CBOEC/E/2011/01260 & CBOEC/E/2012/00324) filed with Central Board of Excise & Customs in respect of non payment of service tax by one contractor of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) namely M/s. Ashlin Enterprises having office at Rowhouse1-2/24, Goodwill Enclave, Kalyaninagar, Pune – 411006.

The said complaints have been simply closed without further investigation.

In this respect the following information is sought under RTI :

1. Pls provided details of investigation/assessments carried out in respect of the said firm ?

2. What is the amount of turnover declared by the said firm in each of the last 7 years ?

3. What is the amount of service tax paid by the said firm in each of the last 7 years ?

4. What is the turnover as per statements received from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. in each of the last 7 years

5. What is the amount of service tax payable on the basis of account statements received from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. in each of the last 7 years?

6.  Whether service tax has been paid on the entire turnover from IOCL in each of the last 7 years ?

7. If the amounts in points 2 to 6 are not matching pls provided the reconciliation alongwith the action initiated for recovery of taxes.
