There is a provision for providing six months industrial training to students from different engineering disciplines in the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) Chandigarh, Sector-30 .The organisation invites online applications for this purpose and if the number of students applying is more than the available number of seats then they provide for selection of students depending upon the percentage of students in their respective disciplines.A waiting list is also declared in case any selected student does not join.

The selected students are then called for an interview. This year the cutoff was set for 80% to 85% for different disciplines. But at the start of the training program there were many students with the percentages in the range of 60% to75% and also no interviews were held for them.

These students user their higher contacts to get admission for training depriving others deserving students their chances for training in this organisation.

Thank You

  1. please let us know whether the 80% to 85% marks that you have mentioned is for the list of students called for the interview or the list of students finally selected.

Thank You for your interest in this application.
From all the applications received from different disciplines a separate cutoff list is prepared for each disciplines. These students are than called for an interview. The cutoff varies between 80%-85%.But some student with percentage lower than cutoff get their name added to the before or after the publication of the list using their contacts diminishing the chances of deserving students.

under RTI you can ask, list of student given admission, cut off for their disciplines, marks scored by individual student, copy of document as proof. Use table for such questions

This can be non-anonymous, applicant can file this himself
