NOTICE FOR SEEKING OF INFORMATION UNDER RTI ACT 2005

CENTRAL PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER

THE DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL, GRIEVANCES & TRAINING

SUBJECT:-SEEKING OF INFORMATION UNDER RTI ACT 2005 

Sir,

Kindly provide me the information about these following matters:-

!) Kindly provide the list of names of  Gazetted Officers(civilian) with their place  of posting in Government of India  after year 2002 to 2012 who had applied  & availed for Transfer Travelling allowance advance but their TTA was subsequently recovered ,with penal interest which has also been imposed, due to non passing of Transfer T.A by their DDO on grounds that the official never kept his family or lived at the station to which the TTA was claimed and  was drawn? Whereas the TTA of similar placed officials who never kept their family or lived at the station to which the TTA was claimed has been passed? Provide the name of those officials too  along with the place of posting and address of the place where they actually  maintained their  residences  and got their TTA claim adjusted and finally passed and what is the official view & position of D.O.P&T in this regard? Is D.O.P&T planning to issue some mandatory directives to all HODs to clear such cases and fix responsibility accordingly and punish the delinquent if not then why ? and if yes then what will be the time frame?

2)Kindly provide the list of names of  Gazetted Officers(civilian)  along with their place of posting in Government of India  between year 1975 to 2005 whose one or more month salary still remains unpaid/due for no fault of their own? Do a unpaid salary implies accruing of compound interest on the principal amount then who will be paying it? Is D.O.P&T planning to issue some mandatory directives to all HODs to clear such cases and fix responsibility accordingly if not then why ?And if yes then what will be the time frame?

3) Kindly provide the list of names of  Gazetted Officers(civilian) along with their place of posting in Government of India  between year 1994 to 2003 whose REMOTE LOCALITY AREA ALLOWANCE, & HARDSHIP ALLOWANCES still remains unpaid/due till date despite clear-cut admissibility while being posted in a remote area/hard area ?Provide the number of the representation(s) made against each name ? Is D.O.P&T planning to issue some mandatory directives to all HODs to clear such cases and fix responsibility accordingly then do the unpaid allowance implies accruing of compound interest on the principal amount then who will be paying it?And if yes then what will be the time frame if not, then reason/justifications to do so?

    We have received reply from Ministry of urban Development , Chennai. The information provided is “Nil”. However the reply gives advice to refer to the DOPT website in matters of TTA settlement, TTA and salary matters.

    As we are getting a flood of letters from different PIOs and posting all these letters will be a huge drain on our resources, hence from now on we will post only those replies which have some information in them.
