Hi,
I received ”Steel Scholarship” in 2011 given by Prof. B. Deo of metallurgy department for the first time. When I received this scholarship I had graduated from the college but I was told to give a letter of thanks for the Prof. and I did so and I was told that I will receive the money in my account by Jul-Aug 2011. But I haven’t received anything till now and when I tried to contact the person (Dipanwita Banerjee) who gave me information about scholarship, she told me it is all clear from here and has been moved to accounts. So I tried to contact accounts through e-mail but got no reply.
I am not interested in the money but I just want to stop this kind of misconduct in IITK administration.
This happens in other other IITs also my friend.
You should file RTI asking details about progress made by accounts dept in release of steel scholarship for that session.
1) When did accounts department receive the case.
2) kindly provide daily progress made on case after that
3) kindly provide date of movement of file from one officer to officer.
4) What is the current status and by when will it be released.
you should file this RTIto stop such practices in IITK also to protect other students from facing this.
