Sub: Complaint against the corporator/s who has vested interest in encroached public space.
Dear Sir,
The Corporator/s has encouraged local goon Mohammed Yunus Lakha to occupy public space. He uses this to carry on Illegal selling of Custom Goods at dirt cheap price(Hawker) in front of Vinayak Apt, Deendayal Nagar, Vasai (W) by paying “Hafta” to Municipality. The entire Vinayak Apt Society is harassed and intimidated by him, and no one is ready to file a complaint against him as he issues threats. By spreading fear he is forcing everyone to turn a blind eye to his unlawful activities, such as i) ongoing encroachment of public space in Deendayal Nagar, ii) illegal activities of selling Custom goods.
We have filed a complaint against him in Vasai Municipal Corporation and in Police Station, but no action has been taken. We also went to our area corporator, but he too simply dismissed the case. And now this goon threatened my parents saying “we know where all you went to file complaint against us, even if you go to Thane Municipality no one will help, since I give “Hafta”.
Sir, I urge you to take prompt action to disqualify sush corporator/s. Kindly investigate the involvement of these corporator/s in the above mentioned illegal activities.
