This RTI has been properly drafted. So, I am moving this to Drafted RTI’s (Ready to File by Volunteer) section.

    • tpabsc says:

Hi Amulya, Thanks for your feedback. Who will file this RTI now? Is there anything that needs to be done on my side? Since somebody else will file my RTI, I want to reciprocate by filing one for someone else. How do I know whom I can file for? Thanks once again!

      • realtos says:

I am a newbee to this.
I think you can follow the link to get the name of PIO. Document in Kannada, so I am unable to help further.

        • tpabsc says:

Hey thanks for responding. Ya I have seen this pdf before, it has BBMP central ward office PIO. But I was wondering if it’s necessary to send to BBMP ward office which serves my area instead of sending to BBMP central ward office?

          • Dost says:

If your RTI application is complete in all respects, may I request RTI anonymous team member and send it through speed post along with the required postal order?

            • tpabsc says:

Amulya has posted the following: <> I am waiting for someone to help me file this RTI.

              • tpabsc says:

Amulya (RTI Anonymous Team Member) has already approved the draft. I am just waiting for someone to file the RTI. Appreciate if someone can step forward to do this. Thanks!

            • Amulya - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

Yes Please go ahead and file this. Just post the speed post consignment number here so that the RTI can be tracked.

              • Dost says:

A few seemingly supid questions Amulya: Since I am doing this for the first time:
                1. Do I need to include my name and address as applicant? Earlier, applicant had mentioned his address which is now changed to anonymous.
                2. Is there a specification of page / font size or number of pages, since the matter would not fit in one A4 size page.
Excuse me for wasting your time, but this is a one time effort and will help me learn and may become an asset for the board.

                • tpabsc says:

Dear Dost, Even though you have addressed the questions to Amulya, I will take the opportunity to answer your questions (Amulya, you please correct them if required…Thanks!). Here the steps to file the RTI:-
                  1. Yes, you have to include your real name, real address as applicant and also signature-place-date info. This is important, since the reply to the RTI will come to this address.
                  2. Take print out (back-to-back print is ok).
                  3. Please go to Post Office and ask for a IPO(Indian Postal Order) of 10Rs. Enter this IPO number & date in the application under C. Application Fee (pen is ok).
                  4. Put RTI application & postal order receipt in an envelope (Keep envelope with address ready before going to post office). Now you are ready to send by SPEED POST to address mentioned in application.
                  Hope this helps. Parag

Thanks for very clear instructions. I will have this done by tomorrow.

                    • tpabsc says:

You are very welcome. Infact thanks for offering to file this RTI for me. Is there any RTI that I can file for you? Please do let me know & I will be happy to help. Also, I have found out the PIO(Public Information Officer) name for my RTI. I have also added the tel no. (to which I just called & verified). Just one more note: Once you copy the RTI into a word document, you might have to do little formatting here & there. I will appreciate if you can post a scanned copy of the RTI you file & also the SPEED POST consignment number (in order to track the same). THANKS ONCE AGAIN!! Parag

    Hi tpabsc,

Would you like to finalize and file this:

    http://getup4change.org/rti/21147/

    • tpabsc says:

Yes I will be more than happy to do it. Is this ready for filing? Please confirm. Also one IPO of 60Rs is fine or I need two (1 with 10Rs & other with 50Rs)? Parag

    • Ankit says:

i have few suggestions to make(Including this or not is totally upto applicant):
      1) Convert bullets into question number in case
first appeal is too be made then it would be easy to write which questions are not clearly
      answered.
      2) Use 2 different IPO and clearly mention in the application that 10 rs IPO is towards payment of RTI fees and 50 rs IPO is towards payment of getting information in CD.
      3) Add a line in your application that IF INFORMATION IS ABOVE 25 PAGES PLEASE PROVIDE ME information in CD. (It is based on my experience with Municipal corporation of delhi which denied me information in CD because they didnot have it in soft copy. The information was of 20 pages i.e 40 rs, this resulted in wastage of 30 days.)

      • Dost says:

        Hi Ankit,

Thanks for your guidance. My point-wise reply is as under. Please advise if any changes are to be made.
        1) Done
        2) Done
        3) Usually the plans in Mumbai are on A0 size paper. In my knowledge, photocopying rates are not specified, hence requesting the information on CD and with the number of plans expected, it might be a considerable expense, specially if someone is bearing these expenses on my behalf. If you still feel I should, then I will change it.

        • Dost says:

Couple of question for my information, Ankit. Are we required to fill in the name of Payee in the IPO or can that be left blank?
Technically, the volunteer will be passing this information to someone he doesn’t know. Can the second sentence in the declaration be deleted?
Just a learner, so please bear with me.

    • Amulya - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

Dost why isnt this link working?

  4. Dost says:

    Dear Amulya,
You are right. However RTI No. 21147 can be viewed in Filed RTI section under the heading ”

Request for Copy of Approved Plans, CC and IOD alongwith copies of all applications and supportings submitted by M/s Ashford Infotech Pvt. Ltd. or their agents / assignees for their upcoming Project “Ashford Royale”, Nahur” which is on top of page 1 currently.
    Thankyou.

  5. Dost says:
