Illegal Penthouse constructed on Apartments

The Public Information Officer Bangalore Development Authority T. Chowdaiah Road, Kumarapark West, Bangalore-560 020.

Dear Sir,

This is regarding the illegally constructed pent house on the terrace of the Apartment complex.

Address of the building:

Meenakshi Apartments
3rd cross, Lingappa Thotta
Near Deve Gowda Road
RT Nagar, Bangalore – 560 032

Builder Name:

Shri Meenakshi Developers Pvt Ltd.

Partners: Mr. Ranganath and Mrs. Seema Ranganath

Site Area: 80′ x 80′ (approx)

Approved plan (as per the sale deeds) : ground floor + 3 floors

Existing : Ground Floor + 3 Floors + Penthouse (fourth floor)

Construction of this apartment was completed in 2004 and all apartments are sold and handed over by May 2005. Currently one of the partners Mrs.Seema Ranganath is staying in the pent house and has blocked the access to the terrace to all the owners. She also has started collecting rent for the parking spaces. Builder has also refused to register OR mark the parking spaces allotted to the owners. Even after so many years of sale of all the apartments, the builder who stays in the apartment is threatening people against making owner’s association.

Through the RTI, I would like to know:

1. The approved building plan
2. Building completion date/certificate issued if any
3. Occupancy certificates issued if any
4. List of registered owners

    you need to draft an rti to the public information officer of bruhat bengaluru mahanagara palike

    the details need to be asked are
    1.commencement certificate
    2.occupancy certificate
    3.plan sanctioned

    for the surevey numbers xxxxxxx of plot number xxxxxx of area in detail.

    also mention the builder name and address.

    proceed only after knowing whereabouts….as because owner might had regularized it.

    My requirement is to get information if it is regularized and registered in someone’s name or not.

    Is it possible to get only that information?
    i.e: the latest approved plan and list of owners?

    4) Rules under which construction is allowed
    5) Name and designation of officer who is responsible for taking action against such construction?
    6) What action has he taken in last 8 years?
