Changing Name

Shri Sushil Gaikwad Sr.Divl. Commercial Manager Public Information Officer Solapur Division, DRM's Office Central Railway, Solapur

I want to know ,  whether the railway reservation officer of  Gulbarga station (Central Railway ) is  authorized to change name of the passengers for confirmed train ticket .

    But the reservation officer at Gulbarga say that He is not authorized to change name . Only Solapur and Mumbai Reservation officer can change the name.I want list of reservation officers in Solapur Division who can change the name.

    He may be right, as this link clearly mentions,

    “Chief Reservation Supervisor of important stations are authorized by Railway Administration to permit the change of name of a passenger having a seat or berth reserved in his name”

    They might not be considering Gulbarga as one of the “important stations”.
