Many state stopped the Major mineral export like Iron ore, Bauxite etc.
In Maharashtra is the single state exporting bauxite and all are private mine owners and this major mineral mining done by private mines. which is exported from Ratnagiri division of Maharashtra
RTI questions as follows:
1. How much Bauxite ore exported from Ratnagiri Division in FY 2011-12.
2. Total Freight On Borad Price of the bauxite ore exported from different ports of Ratnagiri Division and export destination countries.
3. Custome duty or royalty (which counts in government revenue) which is charged to material.
4. Shipping quantity verification with royalty paid by private traders/mine owner.

We have received back this RTI Application from the PIO saying that the postal orders have been issued in the wrong persons’ name. The reply says that the postal orders should be written in the name of “Administrative Officer, Customs, Ratnagiri”. We recommend that the name of the receiver should not be written on the postal order. This can be filled by the PIO himself..
