Intent of filing the RTI- “I have heard that there are almost 600 applications for the same and a request of written test is denied by the faculty, instead they are going for just an interview and almost all the successful candidates are decided already (even before the interview)”

Request -”I request you to file as soon as possible as the interview date is 24th or you may also give me your address at which I can file RTI”

 

Subject: Answer my question under RTI Act 2005.

Sir,

Answer my question under RTI Act 2005 regarding Direct PhD Entrance 2012 at School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

1. How many applications are received for the same?

2. How many are shortlisted?

3. Please give the Criteria for shortlisting the applicants for interview.

4. Also, give the criteria to judge a an interviewee and weight age to the criteria for the calculation of points awarded to the candidate for his/her assessment.

I am hereby attaching postal order of Rs 10.00 as RTI fees.

      I am very thankful to you and RTI Anonymous for the same. I wish to know did you get anything else in reply of the same RTI. As most of the answers are not provided. And said that it can be asked from SC&SS.
      Well if I should go for filing First Appeal with same address? Also let me know till when I should wait for filing First Appeal.

        Yes Navkaran, please go ahead and file first appeal in this matter.
        Normally, the last date for filing first appeal is 30 days after reception of reply.
        Nevertheless, usually you can file first appeal up till a much later time since the rule is not strictly enforced.
        I would suggest you to file first appeal without any further delay.
