I would like to file RTI for the status of the proposal sent by Election Commission of India on 10-12-2001 for adding
“None of the button” in EVM or ballot paper to keep the secrecy of the vote while voting under artical 49-O.
Dear Sir/Madam,
The issue that you are addressing here is related to legislature. This can only be changed if the Parliament decides to modify article 49-O. The Election Commission can only recommend changes in the article.
In the current scenario, it does not appear that such a modification will be introduced in the near future.
There is no point in filing an RTI in this matter as the proposal is not some executive order which will be having a “status”.
