Sub: Application under the RTI Act, 2005

Sir,
The following properties have encroached on the public land:  Vanka Mohalla public road, Dr. M.B. Velkar Street, Chirabazaar, Marine Lines(East)
Please provide following information:
1. Please intimate the size of public land on which an illegal cowshed exists in the middle of the road
2. Is a cowshed allowed to be established in the middle of a public road of one of the most busiest areas in Mumbai? If yes,

3. How many cows are permitted and which law allows this?

4. Current establishment has more than 25 cows standing in the middle of a very small lane. Is that permissible under any BMC law?

5. The person owning this establishment runs a dairy at a very big scale. Does he possess any license for this?

6. Please indicate whether this encroachment is already in the knowledge of the authorities. If yes,

7. When did it first come to their knowledge

8. What steps have been taken by the authorities to remove it till now

9. If no steps have been taken, why?

10. I would like to inspect all the files related to removal of this encroachment. Please intimate the
date, time and venue, when I can come to inspect these files.

11. Please provide the names, designations and contact details of the officials who are supposed to
remove these encroachments.

12. Are these officials guilty of violation of sec 217 of IPC and sec 13(1)(d) of Prevention of
Corruption Act for not taking action as per law and as required of them?

13. What action will be taken against the officials and when?

14. By when will the said encroachment be removed?
