Can a property registration cancelled by the seller after 4 years?

Dear Sirs,

SUB.: CAN A LAND REGISTERED DURING 21-2-2003 BE CANCELLED AFTER 4 YEARS 6 MONTHS WITHOUT THE OWNER’S KNOWLEDGE?

I am an NRI living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the past 12 years. I am doing a few Freelance businesses. As part of my business, I have worked with M/S. LATIF ESTATE LINE INDIA LIMITED, (Mr.Habeeb Abdul Latif), 16, Millers Road, Kilpauk, Chennai-600010 from 2001 to 2006 for the sales of the Real Estate projects promoted by them.

In one such project named “Royal Court” situated in Manimangalam Village near Tambaram, (on Tambaram-Sriperumpudur Road), I have purchased 6000 sq.ft. vacant plot of land for my use during 21-02-2003 for a cost of around Rs,5 lakhs registered at Padappai Sub-Registrars office near Tambaram, Chennai.

Due to various reasons, I have not done any developmental work there. Now when I approached the Padappai Registrar’s office for identifying my plot to make some development, it is said that my registration has been cancelled by the seller himself on 20-08-2007.

I am unable to understand that how a plot registered during February 2003 can be cancelled during August, 2007 after a period of almost 4 years 6 months without my knowledge.

I wish to know whether this is possible without the knowledge of the present land owner?

    You can file a RTI application for this. Where is the need to be anonymous?

    I have sent Email. Till date there is no response from the concerned authorities. Thats why I wish to make another attempt thro this site. I am planning to file a case through my lawyer in Chennai.

    sir i belong to madangir area of new delhi(outer south)on brt road.we have the same mla named prem singjh for last 30 years having guniss record ,he is powerful mla and have remained as a speker also but have not seen any significant development in area in last 30 years .So i want the an rti to know what all has he done in last 3.5 years in madangir area so that we can take proper decision for elections in coming elections. what shall i do. please help as i want ted to help all those who want a change.
