Has there been any progress in settling the dues of their employees. what should one do to claim the dues of the deceased employee

Metal Box was declared sick unit and was under BIFR .All the employees took 20% deduction in salary and continued work till it was locked out in the year 1996 -1997 or so. I understood lately that the property in mumbai has been sold out. I confirmed the status on the BIFR site which says “sanctioned”. The representative of Metal box is shying away from meeting me. I am prepared to do everything to get justice to the eployees dues.
Moving this to Unprocessed RTI’s for our experts to comment on this further

Hello Mr.Lazer, I would like to know whether u r one of the affected employees or an assumed leader for those employees (since u r saying that u want to help the employees) Usually such cases are dealt by the Employees’ Union and such disputes – usually called as Industrial Disputes – will be pending in Labour Courts. Anyhow, pl give more details about the case indicating your locus standi in the case.

my late father was an employee of Metal Box. I know few of his friends who are in very dire state. I decided to do something about it. I wanted to know what is the scheme that is sanctioned by BIFR .
I am not sure about the Union helping the employees.
Hello Mr.Lazar, Pl contact the employees’ union in the said Organisation. Or even u can ask ur father to contact the Union. There is nothing RTI Can do in this case, as the settlement must have already been implemented.
