  1. What is the status of International Centre of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi? Is it a national or International institute ?
  2. How status of being a national institute and international institute is defined, in terms of administrative and financial rules? Clearly state the difference in a tabulated form. How policies such as recruitment, financial decisions and other major decisions made in such cases, that is, who is the supreme authority?
  3. Do the law of land stated by constituted by Constitution of India Applies to International research institutes? Can the decisions made by such research institutes be challenged under Indian Laws?
  4. Is RTI applies to ICGEB, New Delhi and are they answerable to RTI? If not, under what provisions they have been exempted and on what ground?
  5. What is the financial support given by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), India to ICGEB, New Delhi? Clearly mention the division of finances (in tabulated form) received from any international source and Indian source to ICGEB, New Delhi.
  6. Why employees of ICGEB, new Delhi are exempted from Income Tax? Provide documents of exemptions from CBDT or any other revenue devision
  7. State the statutes under which ICGEB, New Delhi is exempted from paying any kind of taxes?
  8. Give list of Directors appointed at ICGEB, New Delhi since its inception? Provide in detail

  10. Provide details of the

    4. number of people applied
    5. Detailed CV of applicants
    6. Detailed CV of applicant selected

      for all the scientist (Permanent, ad-hoc or temporary) since its inception? Provide all details in tabulated form.
