1.Why most of the Government Organizations have not yet developed the website ?

2. Why the websites of the Government organizations are not updated

3. Electronic medium is not used for communications..?

      Dear nightwatch Sir/Madam,

      This is really an outstanding RTI. The reply shows that in spite of many circulars for putting links for RTI on websites of Government offices, it is still not being complied with in many cases.

      Thanks for filing it. We will use these circulars to press for better accessibility of RTI information on websites of Government offices.

      Thanks for the information.What actions can be initiated against those organisations who do not comply with the circulars issued by DoPT

        1. I had filed an Appeal for more information, which is also pasted in the post below. Basically RTIA 2005 provisions are broad-based and DoPT instructions are advice. If you see careful even DoPT does follow its own instructions.

        2. If you file an RTI with an organisation/ Public authority and ask if it follows the relevant secs of the RTIA and DoPT instructions they will either say you cannot raise such queries under RTIA or simply say they have complied with all instructions- you can do what you want.

        3. Best would be to pose this question to the CPIO, DoPT in a carefully drafted RTI application.

    1. I had filed an appeal with the FAA wrt the above RTI. Same was replied by DoPT vide their letter dated 24 Jan 2012.
    2. Copy of appeal is attached. Replies to each question is pasted below each Q in Italics and underlined. For information of all.
