Questions:

 

  1. What are the dimensions required for front and rear indicators on sedan cars as per CMVR, please give specifications do not attach copies.

 

  1. What is the front and rear specification of turn indicator on Audi Q7 / Q5

 

  1. What is the front and rear specification of turn indicator on BMW 5 Series Model

 

  1. Are Xenon Lamps permitted on cars ?

 

  1. Are HID light kits permitted on cars ?

 

  1. Are Projector Lamps permitted on cars ?

 

  1. Is white colored head lamps permitted on cars ?

 

  1. What illumination/watts is allowed in head lamps of cars as per law ?

 

  1. What illumination and specifications are headlamps in Q7 / BMW 5 and 7 Series Models / Skoda Superb / Mercedes E class ?

 

  1. Has your department checked if the Turn indicators are as per law on Audi Q7 / BMW 5 Series ?
  1. Has your department checked if the Head lamps are as per law on Audi Q7 / BMW 5 Series ?
  2. How many complains has your office received for the white lights ?
  3. Any FIR registered against the car accessories shops selling these illegal lights ?
  4. What is the action plan for curbing the white light nuisance in Mumbai ?

    1.It would be better to file three separate RTI.
    2. Technical questions to ARAI.
    3. Regulatory questions to the transport deptt.
    4. Offence related questions with the traffic police.
    5. Qs 2, 3& 10 can be combined.Also 9&11.

    1.I am attaching a draft RTI on technical issues. Complete and send.Also there is additional information including an NGO who can help you.
    2. You can draft the other RTIs on similar lines.If you have a problem let me know.I am travelling at the momemt.

      Thanks !..I have moved this to the Drafted RTI’s (Ready to Print) Category. Our other volunteers will do a quick final review of this and take a printout of it and then file the RTI
