We need copies of all RTI replies filed by Mr.Farooque Ahd. Anwar Raza Momin from Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi, Dist. Thane, Maharashtra. Since last 12 yrs He had taken many information regarding local politicians including local MLA but was made silent abruptly and mysteriously by the powerfulls. We need to take ahead the stopped job.

Please provide relevant and complete information. This is really depressing some wrong people do such activities to silent people’s voice. But that why there is RTI Anonymous.
But I am very sorry with our team to inform you that it is not possible to ask any info from any deptt. as there are hundereds deptt. and agencies at state and center level. Please provide the name of deptt. where he had filed his RTI, in this way, we can track. Otherwise, there is no specific detail in this regard.

i am looking for more information into this regard.These information must be available with “Information Officer” of Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation, Bhiwandi, Dist. Thane.As it is first time for me in these sort of matters and some powerful people are involved, i am being very cautious.But i will pursue it.

It is good that you are concerned about a good person. But as mentioned by Vinita, you can file a complaint to CIC, India. Else provide specific inputs regarding the person you are talking about and the kind of information he had asked, mail it to us if you want to be completely at background or call us. We’ll put owr own efforts on that info and will check with CIC, India.

Alternatively, you can now lodge a complaint with the central information commissioner. The Central Information Commission has passed a wonderful order recently thanks to CIC Shailesh Gandhi who took the lead. According to that, “The Central Information Commission expresses regret and takes note of the reported killings of and assault on the RTI users across the country. The Commission underlines the need to take urgent steps by the respective Governments for the safety and protection of RTI users. The Commission strongly believes that it is the duty and responsibility of the respective Governments to safeguard the life and liberty of the RTI users for which purpose they should invoke the relevant penal provisions for the prevention and detection of such heinous crimes.
“This Commission, therefore, resolves that if it receives a complaint regarding assault or murder of an information seeker, it will examine the pending RTI applications of the victim and order the concerned Department(s) to publish the requested information suo moto on their website as per the provisions of law.
“This Commission also resolves that it will take proactive steps in ascertaining the status of investigations/prosecutions of the cases involving information seekers and endeavor to have these processes expedited.”
