Whether a Union Cabinet Minister can be appointed their political party’s State Incharge

Sub: Information under the RTI Act, 2005 – reg

 

Sir,

 

Please supply me the information for the following under the RTI Act, 2005:

 

1)    Please supply me the list of Union Cabinet Ministers and the state to which they have been appointed as State In-charges by their political Party.

2)    How many times the said Union Cabinet Ministers have visited the states to which they have been appointed as the state in-charge by their political party and the cost incurred by the Government exchequer.

3)    Whether the Union Cabinet ministers entertained any political meetings being their party state incharge in their official work places?If so, how many such meetings have taken place from 1-1-2011 to 30-10-2011?

    Hi,

    The questions asked are mostly related to a particular political party as the state-in-charge is not a government position. I do not see these questions in any relating to RTI as the information requested need not be with any government office.

    In the above RTI application, it seems that point no. 2 & 3 are questions , to the best of my knowledge this does not comes under RTI
