Undue favour to influential or powerful convicts.

To

The Principal Information Officer,

Ministry of Law, Govt. of India.

How many times convicts Ms Vikas Yadav and Manu Sharma requested for staying out of jail and how many times their requests were granted and relevant details like dates of their requests, reasons, dates of grant of permission and number of days allowed to them.

How many persons are in jail whose cases are to be heard and decided by those courts or judges who granted these permissions to convicts Ms Vikas Yadav and Manu Sharma. And what were urgent reasons for these courts or judges to hear the requests of convicts, rather than deciding the cases of under trials, who were languishing in jails without sentences.

Requesting the sender of this application to draft it in the RTI Application format (you can see samples in the `printed RTIs (ready to file) section. Also note it is `Public information officer’ and not `Principal information officer.’ Please locate the public information officer by going to the ministry’s website. Awaiting, thank you

1, The matter is almost under constant scrutiny by the courts. Two days back in case of Yadav courts had cancelled blanket permission to visit hospital on medical grounds.
        2. In my opinion the RTI will serve no purpose in either solving somebody problems or benefitting larger public purpose.
