Illegal occupancy of society area and TMC area
We are staying at Shanti Niketan CHS , opp Rly Station, Thane East . Maharashtra. Pin – 400 603.
Right at the entrance of our society , one of the residents of the society has occupied empty ground area by putting up a shop and selling plastic items right from soap boxes to Buckets and chairs. We have made a number of complaints to the society , but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. We also understand that when a complaint was filed at the Thane Police station, the person who has the shop approached the local politician and he roughed up the members of the committee.
This is causing a lot of menace specifically to the people walking in and out of the society premises since there are some or the other people trying to buy this stuff. We are afraid that if this is not resolved right at this point, it would cause much bigger headache.
Apart from this , just outide the society gate, there is a bus stop for Bus no. 495. This person has occupied the entire area covering this . The TMC does not seem to be doing anything to stop this. We request that this issue be taken seriously and immediate action be taken against these people.
This is not the right forum. All the residents of the society must campaign against this illegal encroachment with the municipal administration. It has to be a sustained public campaign and RTI cannot help in this case.
