Application for Information under Right to Information Act 2005
Subject: Treatment of Patients under Indigent and Weaker Sections of the Society, as laid by Govt Of Maharashtra
I, Nikunj C Joshi, a citizen of India, request you to kindly provide me the following information under the Right to Information Act, 2005:
1) Please inform me the total no, names and address details of all Treatment of Patients under Indigent and Weaker Sections of the Society, as laid by Govt Of Maharashtra for the past three years i.e., Calender Year(s)-2009,2010 and 2011(till date)

2) What is the policy of Bhatia General Hospital to administer and monitor such treatment of patients? Please provide me a copy of such policy for this action.

I am attaching the receipt of the payment of application fees for this RTI Application via Court fees stamp Rs. 10/- only. I am willing to pay any further charges as decided by the PIO and communicated to me with a reasoned written order, giving detailed calculations for arriving at the additional charges so requested by the PIO.

    You are right that Bhatia Hospital has to adhere to the norms of free treatment to poor patients. The entire norms and list of Mumbai hospitals is in this link: http://charity.mah.nic.in/static_pages/schedulebombay.pdf
    However, since this is a private hospital, it will not come under RTI but you can file a RTI application to Joint Charity Commissioner, Maharashtra State, Mumbai and Joint Director of Health Services (Medical), Mumbai. pl find out the PIOs of both and let us know. tks
