SAIL
corporate office has issued guidelines for dealing with requests for cases of
transfers on compassionate grounds. Kindly provide the information regarding
the officers who have applied for transfer on compassionate ground in the
following format under the RTI act. This information may please be provided
from 01.01.2010 to till date.

There is a provision of penalty u/s. 20 (1) & (2)
Sec. 7 (9) “An information shall
ordinarily be provided in the form in which it is sought
section 8(j) “that the information which cannot be denied to The Parliament or
a State
Legislature shall not be denied to any person.”
Find the application fee for the request attached with
this application (Indian Postal Order No. ___________dated __________ is
enclosed). If you feel that above requested information does not pertain to
your department then please follow the provisions of Section 6(3) of the RTI
Act, 2005.
As per the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 please
provide the details (Name and Designation) of the first appellate authority
w.r.t your department with the reply to the above request., where I may if
required file my first appeal.

1. Reply received from SAIL corporate office. As the issue pertains to various units, the RTI application has been forwarded to 16(sixteen) units of SAIL for response.

why they are dealying? already 30 days passed. lodge omplaint to cic
It is general complaint. Authority concern do not file reply in time or do not file a reply at all. Out of five RTIs one RTI is not replied even after 2 months. Kindly suggest remedy.
This is a normal behaviour of any givt., authority. I am sure Mr. Nightwatch would be filing an Appeal & complaint very soon and follow up on this.
Thats the remedy here. I know any delay more than 30 days, means a deduction in the salary of the concerned govt. official. Mr. Nightwatch has already done so much to pursue this case and and let us be little patient and give Mr. Nightwatch some time to file this complaint.

the information reveals that certain units VIOLATES the compassionationate/humanitarian ground polocies in pretext of executives involving assignments. whether it has been brought to the notice of chairman or to Ministry?
This RTI is quite revealing. This gives insight of typical working of a PSU where compassionate/humanitarian policies are misused by Units/Plants without any control from corporate personal department. If this is the condition of a Maharatna Company we can well imagine about other PSUs. As requested by Mr. Naga can we seek intervention of Chairman SAIL or Steel Ministry based on these revelations.

it seems to be that several RTI has been filed. Once all information avialble then only the matter may be taken up with agencies like MOS, CVC, CBI or to Supreme court.
The two reveals shows that there is considerable manupulations has ben taken place. let agency file all RTI and get information.
