Please provide me the following information regarding expenditure of the house of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India under
Right to Information Act, 2005.
Please answer the following questions:
1) Please provide me with the details of the total quantity(this can be reported in total number of litres or the total number of bottles supplied
suplied whichever is more suitable to the public information officer) of alcoholic drinks and beverages supplied to the house of the
honourable Prime Minister of India from 30th December,2010 till 30th September 2011.Also tell me the various brands of
alcoholic drinks and beverages being supplied to the house of the Prime Minister of India from 30th December 2010 to 30th September 2011.
Specify the quantity and the expenditure incurred on each and every brand during the above mentioned period of time.
Also tell me the total expenditure of alcoholic drinks and beverages supplied to the house of Prime Minister of India during the above mentioned period.
The above information should contain the alcoholic drinks and beverages suplied for various occasions,meetings,parties as well as aon the
arrival of visitors to the house of the Prime Minister of India.
2) Give me names of all the sources from where alcoholic drinks and beverages are supplied to the house of the Prime Minister of India during the above mentioned
period.Give me the names of the people who have started or funded the above mentioned alcohol joints alcohol joints.
3) Give me details of all occasions,parties,gatherings and meetings organized on the premises of the house of the Prime Minister of India from 30th December 2010
to 30th September 2011.Give me details of the quantities of various brands of alcoholic drinks that have been supplied to the house of the Prime Minister
for the above mentioned occasions during this period.Also give me the expenditure of each and every brand of alcohols as well as the total expenditure
for these occasions during the above mentioned period of time.Give me details of the purpose and objectives for which these occasions,parties,
gatherings and meetings were organized.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Please give me the following information under the Right to Information Act:
1) Please provide me with all invoices or bills showing the alcoholic drinks and beverages bought by the Prime Minister’s Office or supplied to the Prime Minister’s Offical Residence or the Prime Minister’s Office from 30th September, 2010 till 30th September 2011. The aforesaid alcoholic drinks and beverages must include but must not be limited to those supplied for various occasions, meetings, parties including but not limited to those on festive occassions as well as on the arrival of any visitor.
2) Give me details of all occasions, parties, gatherings and meetings organized on the premises of the house of the Prime Minister of India or the Prime Minister’s Office or those funded by the Prime Minister’s Office, partly or wholly, including those organized during festive occasions, from 30th September 2010 to 30th September 2011. For each of the aforesaid events, the aforesaid details should include but should not be limited to money spent on the event, dates on which the event was organised, break up of money spent on the event and other details.

What does this mean ?
Quite surprisingly we have received reply to this RTI Application.
The pages given below show the reply we have received after several annoying transfers of this application from one department to the other.
It seems that a lot of money is wasted only for beverages when on one hand 23 % of Indian population is malnourished (according to a World Health Organization report). Strange dichotomy
This is a ingenious RTI Application. We need more such people purely interested in public good.
