Subject: Application for Information under Right to Information Act 2005

I, Kamal Kishore, a citizen of India, request you to kindly provide me the following information under the Right to Information Act, 2005:

1)      A flyover bridge in Mandi Dabwali had been planned on G.T. Road with one end starting from nearby Delite Cinema (now Delite Cinema Market) to the other end near Mandi Dabwali border of Haryana & Punjab in the city. The bridge was planned to reduce the traffic chaos created in the city due to main railway track lying between G.T. Road in city.

 

2)      The foundation stone for this flyover project was laid by Mr. Om Prakash Chautala, Ex. C.M., Haryana in front of Delite Cinema (now Delite Cinema Market), during the last months of his tenure of his chief ministership in 2004. No signs of foundation stone are present at the moment.

 

3)      Please inform what grant had been approved for this project. As it had been declared so many years back, what progress had been made in this flyover construction during last seven years.

 

4)      If no grant had been approved, on what basis this flyover project was scrapped and when? Please provide the full details of this decision.

 

5)      Else if grant had been approved for the project, why there is no flyover yet? Who took the public money granted for the same?

 

6)      Please inform me the Name, Designation, Address, Office Telephone number of the Officers of the related Authority, who are responsible for no construction of this flyover and passed the payments. This means that these officials did not do their job properly. Their inaction has caused so much loss to the exchequer and so much inconvenience to the public. They are also guilty of criminal misconduct under the Prevention of corruption Act.

 

7)      By when will action be taken against them and what action will you take against no construction of this flyover?

 

8)      Please provide me with a certified copy of the Action Taken Report if action already taken.

 

9)      How many written or verbal complaints has the related Authority received regarding the construction of this flyover? Please give me the following information about each of the complaints:

a)      Date of complaint

b)      Daily progress of the complaint received

c)      Action taken on the complaint received

d)     Date of reply given to the complainant and a copy of the reply

 

10)  By what time citizens of Mandi Dabwali can expect this flyover to be constructed and in use?

 

11)  If the flyover project was scrapped, what and when new actions have been being taken during last 7 years to check and reduce the traffic conditions in this area?

12)  If the flyover construction or some other new actions are not taken by the date indicated in Item 7, 10 & 11 above, what action will be taken and what penalties will be levied by state authorities against the officers/ contractors/ agencies which do not meet the expectations?

 

I am attaching the postal order of Rs. 50/- only on the behalf of the payment of application fees for this RTI Application. I am willing to pay any further charges as decided by the PIO and communicated to me with a reasoned written order, giving detailed calculations for arriving at the additional charges so requested by the PIO.
