Subject: Application for Information under Right to Information Act 2005

I, Kamal Kishore, a citizen of India, request you to kindly provide me the following information under the Right to Information Act, 2005:

1)      Please provide me the detailed minutes of meeting (MoM) of all meetings of Municipal Committee, Mandi Dabwali held in last nine months and also provide the information, who was absent from these meetings categorised by every meeting.

 

2)      As Mrs. Shimpa Jain (Ex. Chairwoman, Municipal Committee, Mandi Dabwali) had resigned from the post after ‘No Confidence Motion’ in July, 2010, what actions have been taken to elect new Chairperson of the committee?

 

3)      Who is currently working as the Chairperson/President of Municipal Committee, Mandi Dabwali in these meetings?

 

4)      According to Haryana Municipal Act, in what time the vacancy of Chairperson/President of Municipal Committee has to be filled by proper election process? Why in this case, no election process has been followed for filling this vacancy?

 

5)      What are the reasons for this much delay for the election of vacant position of Chairman/President, Municipal Committee, Dabwali? Who is responsible for this delay and what actions have been taken in this regard?

 

6)      Please provide the timeframe during which the next Chairman/President will be elected. By what time citizens of Mandi Dabwali can expect their next Chairman/President of Municipal committee to be elected?

7)      If the Chairman/President election is not taken place by the date indicated in Item 6 above, what action will be taken and what penalties will be levied by the related authority in this regard.

 

I am attaching the postal order of Rs. 50/- only on the behalf of the payment of application fees for this RTI Application. I am willing to pay any further charges as decided by the PIO and communicated to me with a reasoned written order, giving detailed calculations for arriving at the additional charges so requested by the PIO.
