DBT fellowship lost on the way

DBT fellowship for MSc Biotech was sanctioned for 1999-2001 batch students at dept of biotech in panjab university chandigarh who were selected through common entrance test for masters in biotech conducted by JNU. The fellowship did not reach the students despite repeated requests from students. Please provide information about the utilization of funds released by DBT for providing this fellowship. For what purpose was the funds utilized if the funds did not come back to DBT from panjab university?

If the information better relate to some other office then under RTI clause 6(3)you have to forward the application to the appropriate public information officer who will provide the information

    The RTI application may be drafted as follows:

    1. Provide a list of students who were given DBT fellowships for MSc Biotech for 1991-2001 batch along with the amount received by each student.
    2. In the absence of having awarded the fellowships, give a list of beneficiaries who did not receive the fellowship.
    3. Provide relevant documents to cite reasons for not having awarded the scholarships
    4. Provide the name of the officer/officers who were responsible for facilitating the DBT fellowships for 1991-2001 batch of MSc Biotech
    5. Provide documents to show what action has been taken against officers who did not award the fellowships
    6. Provide information on whether funds for these fellowships was utilised for any other purpose

    This RTI Application is Ready to File. We request the applicant to file this RTI Application themselves as we are running short of volunteers to file RTI Applications. The volunteers of our organization are concentrating on more serious RTI Applications in which the applicants have a threat to their life or safety.
    Please post a comment (preferably with Speed post Consignment Number) under your application after having filed the RTI Application as it will help us keep track of the application.


    Our ultimate aim by introducing this new reform is to make this a community owned project rather than our own endeavor for bringing about transparency in administration.
    We will be happy if other people volunteer to file RTI Application as it will be the first step towards our objective.
