Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, is enforce in the State of Maharashtra w.e.f. 6th Dec. 2008.
As per Sub Section 3 of Section 3 of this act, every building should be certified for the Fire Prevention & Life Safety measures every after 6 months by Licensing Agency.
As per THANE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, Fire Hazard Response and Mitigation Plan , this section of the Act is strictly adhered in the area of Thane Municipal Corporation.
Accordingly buildings are inspected & evaluated with reference to the fire hazard.

Information is required whether the below mentioned Residential Building constructed/developed by M/S. Banoo Construction’s, having their office at Shop no.1, Building no.1, Banoo Complex, Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612. has been evaluated by the Fire Service Department of Thane Municipal Corporation or their authorized Agency as per Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006.
Name of the Buidling: Banoo Estate, Building No.1 A and 1B.
Address: : Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612. Maharashtra State.
The Developer M/S. Banoo Constructions (Represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh) has formed a unregistered Housing Society (Banoo Estate Cooperative Housing Society) in the said Banoo Estate, Building no.1A and 1B and has declared himself as Chairman of the said society without any authorization from the Building residents.
Information is required whether M/S. Banoo Constructions/Banoo Estate Co-operative Housing Society (Unregistered) both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh , has sought necessary Fire Evaluation of Banoo Estate, Building no. 1A and 1B, under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006.

6). Description of the Information required:
a). Is necessary Fire Evaluation under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, has been done for below mentioned Residential Building:
Name of Residential Building : Banoo Estate, Building no.1 A and 1B
Total number of Floors in the Building: 9
Address of the Residential Building: Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612.
If yes, then please provide necessary copy/details of the checklist and other recommendation as proposed to the Builder/Unregistered Cooperative Society (both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh) regarding the same.
b). If no Fire Evaluation has been done for the Banoo Estate, Building no.1A and 1B, Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612, please provide the complete reason for non compliance of the Sub Section 3 of Section 3 in Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006.
c). Please provide the compliance report as filed by M/S. Banoo Construction’s/Banoo Estate Cooperative Housing Society (Unregistered) (Both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh), for the recommendations/checklist flaws as indicated for correction by the Chief Fire Officer/Authorized Agency as per Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006.
d). If till now, no compliance report has been filed by M/S. Banoo Construction’s/Banoo Estate Cooperative Housing Society (Unregistered) (Both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh), for the recommendations/checklist flaws as indicated for correction by the Chief Fire Officer/Authorized Agency as per Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, please indicate what action has been initiated against the M/S. Banoo Construction’s/Banoo Estate Cooperative Housing Society (Unregistered) (Both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh), as prescribed in the act.
e). If no Fire Evaluation has been done for the Banoo Estate, Building no.1A and 1B, as per the Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, please indicate the tentative schedule date (earliest date) for carrying out the Fire Evaluation of the Said building.
f). Is any Police Complaint (F.I.R.)/prosecution has been initiated/will be initiated against M/S. Banoo Construction’s/Banoo Estate Cooperative Housing Society (Unregistered) (Both represented by Mr. Shakeel Akeel Shaikh), under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, for failure to submit necessary proposal for Fire Evaluation of Banoo Estate, Building no 1A and 1B, Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612.
g). Is any departmental action has been initiated/will be initiated against the concerned officer of the Thane Municipal Corporation, under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act 2006, for failure to carry out Fire Evaluation of Banoo Estate, Building no 1A and 1B, Jeevan Baug, Mumbra, Thane-400612.
