    • Anand - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

      Thanks Mr. Compaq
Please put the Speed Post Number on this , so that the original requestor gets to keep a track of it
After that, I will move this to the Filed RTI Category

I have attached the drafted RTI.
    Please suggest changes, if any.
I’ll file this on 19th January.

  5. compaq says:

If Mr. Sankaralingam2012 can review it, and give the feedback ASAP, it would be nice for me.

  6. Malathy Dev - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

As you can see Mr Anand, It is of utmost importance to seek original complainant’s ok at every stage (Refer Sonal Mishra case). Sure, copies of all mails go to complainant, but one does not know if one should intervene when RTIA is at work. So at final stage a direct comment or mail addressed to complainant is required.

    • Anand - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

Everytime anybody posts a comment here, the applicant gets an automatic email. The RTI was drafted and compaq had requested the applicant for feedback on Jan 17th. He has since recieved atleast 4-5 emails (number of comments from you,me and compaq)
The question now is how long do we wait before we file.
My opinion is .. since this is going to help the general public, we can wait till Jan 23rd (Monday) and if no reply is received from the original applicant, then let us just go and file it

      • Malathy Dev - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

The programming is excellent, as all comments automatically and without delay go to all interested parties including complainant.

From the human angle however, a complainant hesitates to intervene as he feels RTIA members would know better, and that the mails are going to him only for info. At final stage, maybe a comment or mail could go directly addressed to complainant. (Yes, it could be private email by RTIA team member to maintain complainant’s privacy, if needed).

Also, as all people may not have easy access to internet always (like me), so a response time of 10-15 days may be allowed.

Just a suggestion for your consideration.

          Malathy ji
Will look into ur suggestion and see what we can do.
The only thing, I would like to add here is RTI-A is something we do bcos its our passion and commitment to our country/motherland.
But at the same time, this is a bunch of amateurs/students and technologists running the show and they all have their own main work-life and other complicated personal life.
We need to make things as automated as possible, but at the same time, keep the human element alive. This is something, we are trying our best, to maintain balance. May take time to achieve perfection, but be assured that the efforts are genuine and sincere

          • Malathy Dev - RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

Agree absolutely. Thanks for the consideration. Some things are for the long-term.

Also, wishing that everyone’s personal life no more remains complicated in 2012.

  7. compaq says:

Mr. Dev is absolutely correct, but I think providing E-mail address publicly, would harm the anonymity, the very reason for which RTIA is set-up.

Alternatively the-admin can E-mail the applicant, a reminder(if desired), on behalf of the RTI Activist.

Mr. Anand please remind the applicant in my case too.

      Mr Compaq

  13. compaq says:

    I have got a reply.
It says that the application has been transferred under section 6(3), to the appropriate Public authority.

  14. Sankar says:

    Sir,
The RTI was filed on 24 Jan 2012. It is almost one and a half months gone. It seems, till no reply has been received from the authority. Next how to go about. Is it required to appeal to the higher authority.

  15. Sky Walker -- RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

Count 30 days from date of transfer..

  16. Sky Walker -- RTI Anonymous Team Member says:

If the Transfer didn’t happen within 5 days then you can make a complaint to CIC/SIC u/s 18

  17. Sankar says:

    Sir,
There is no reply even after nearly two months from transfer. I want to take it further. I want to file appeal to the higher authority seeking the reply. I am willing to provide the financial assistance. But i like everything to be anonimous.
    Thank you.

  18. Odysseus says:

You cannot go for first appeal … as the time limit has exceeded 60 days. File a complaint u/s 18(1) and send one copy to PIO No.1 ( To whom the Application was addressed ) & one to PIO No.2 (To whom the Application was transferred )

  19. Sankar says:

Kindly help me how can I make the complaint by maintaining anonimity. Can I have help from Team RTI anonimous.
