SAIL corporate office has issued guidelines
for promoting qualified, competent executives to take up challenging positions.
Kindly provide the information regarding

the executives who have been promoted from, E5 to E6 grade, E6 to E7 grade, E7
to E8 grade and number of years they have completed in each grade in the following
format under the RTI act. This information may please be provided from 01.01.2001
to till date.

# Furnish the names of officers who have been
promoted after completion of 9 years and above from E5 to E6 , E6 to E7 grade
since 2005, their qualification, their  rotation as per policy, their reporting &
reviewing officers names.

Kindly note There is a provision of penalty
u/s. 20 (1) & (2) Sec. 7 (9) “An information shall ordinarily be provided
in the form in which it is sought section 8(j) “that the information which cannot
be denied to The Parliament or

a State Legislature shall not be denied to any person.”

Find the application fee of Rs 10/- for the
request attached with

this application (Indian Postal Order No. ___________dated __________ is

enclosed). If you feel that above requested information does not pertain to

your department then please follow the provisions of Section 6(3) of the RTI

Act, 2005.

As per the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005
please

provide the details (Name and Designation) of the first appellate authority

w.r.t your department with the reply to the above request, where I may if

required file my first appeal.

    This RTI application is different from http://getup4change.org/rti/6704/eye-wash-compassionate-transfer-policy-of-sail/#comment-1494 to the extent that referred link is related to Compassionate transfer policy of SAIL whereas current RTI application is related with Promotion Policy of SAIL.

    In a similar RTI request relating to SAIL
    I had commented that when the information sought is very large requiring considerable diversion of resources of the Public Authority, the request will be likely to be rejected by the Public Authority under Section 7(9) of the RTI Act. In this case also the information asked for is very huge.

    it seems that there are some things happening as it happened railways.i think that computersisation personnel records will not be a problem for the organisation to furnish.
